Thanks to our highly automated technology we are able to supply consistent, high-quality products made of molded pulp on-time. The production capacity of our company is 1,000,000 – 15,000,000 products per year. However, our production capacity depends on the shape and dimensions of individual products.
In recent years molded pulp has been used for packing electronics and PC components. Nowadays it is beginning to be plentifully used in other industrial branches, e.g.: packing small domestic appliances, mobile phones, consumer goods, medicine, CD/DVD, automotive industry, furniture, food, etc. Generally, we can say that molded pulp is profitable for packing products of medium and larger batches.
Most products are, in terms of shape, far more complex than a simple block. Molded pulp can be designed with deep hollows and quite complex geometry in order to protect your product optimally.
Every project or customer is always assessed individually. We are able to offer production batches ranging from a few thousands of items per month to millions per year to our customers.
For production we use only recycled cardboard and newspapers. We use neither additives nor chemical substances. Thanks to this fact our customers get purely environmentally friendly packets.
Molded pulp does not produce more dust than other paper packets, e.g. packets made of grooved cardboard, etc.
Molded pulp has excellent damping properties. Molded pulp has been used for packing eggs and light bulbs for over 50 years. Its damping properties have been proved many times.
In terms of protective packet molded pulp has its natural properties which surpass most vacuum-molded plastic, grooved cardboard and polystyrene, mainly concerning vibration absorption.
The load capacity of every packet is determined by its structure and the number of its functional surfaces. Every packet made by the TRIDAS company is carefully designed to protect products weighing up to 8 kg. Contact us with your specific application and our designers will design packets right for your product.
We are able to deliver first samples within 2 – 3 weeks after reconciliation of technical documentation. Production of the tools themselves takes 3 – 4 weeks after reconciliation of prototypes. Generally, we are able to start any production within 6 weeks.
The costs depend on the number and dimensions of every tool necessary for customer’s satisfaction in terms of volume and design of the given packet. Typical costs of a prototype amount to EUR 2,000 – 3,000, the price of production tools ranges between EUR 8,000 – 14,000 EUR, depending on complexity of the tools.
With respect to the fact that molded pulp is made of cheap, easily available raw material, these products are much cheaper than comparable packets made of expanded polystyrene, extruded foam or vacuum-molded plastic. Prices of input raw materials are fixed on a long-term basis compared to prices of oil-based raw materials. Modest requirements for storage area are a considerable advantage. Thanks to the fact that individual packets are transported stacked, 1 pallet can be loaded with approx. 4.8 x more products which ensures more effective utilization of goods vehicles.
